Kemer - Turkey first impressions

We made it! Sofia and I arrived Kemer on Saturday evening, after quite a bit traveling. We quickly learned that the Turkish way of doing things is a bit differently organized than the way we are used to in Sweden.
There was a very confused service of food and beverage to the passengers who had requested and paid for it. The flight attendants were running around in a complete chaos trying to understand why none of the passengers were wanting what their lists were saying. After a while we figured, through our fellow passenger who was trying to get his food, that they had a list for a completely different flight.
Since neither one of us had ordered any food we leaned back with our books and some good music in our ear phones and ignored the chaos.

Getting of the plane was a pleasant experience, walking into the warm air, even though there was a light rain falling. Really a change to the better!

Stockholm, Saturday morning, minus 5 degrees centigrade, brrr.

Plus 15 degrees Centigrade, hell yeah!

Antalya Airport on arrival, 6.30 pm.

The best thing wit charter is the easiness of things, just take your bags and walk to the person who's in charge and they point you in the right direction and suddenly you are on the bus, taking you to your hotel. Easy as that!
During the one hour long trip between the cities we did reflect over the apparent lack of females on the streets. We did the same observing when walking the streets of Kemer today. Men in the shops, men working at the hotel, men walking around, men talking to men, tending to things. Occasionally we would meet a woman, but almost always with a man keeping her company. What a different world!
As a blond, young woman you tend to become very interesting. Good time to learn the art of ignorance and slipping away quietly. We're getting good at that both of us, fast! :P

The day has been spent leisurely strolling the streets and beaches of Kemer, enjoying the sun, getting our daily dose of vitamin D and me regaining my strength after the last weeks of sickness. Feeling much better now!
Good food from the hotels restaurant has filled our stomachs and a book has almost been finished. I have nothing more to ask for at the moment!

Breakfast view, the mosque.
